ADSL
Asymetric digital Subscriber Line is the correct term for Broadband
Basic connection is OK up to 45Km and operates at 1.1 MHz Max.
The new enhanced 8 Meg connection works up to 3Km typ' from Exch'
The new VDSL system works at 10 - 12 MHz,
but is 'notchable' for Amateur band frequencies.
A measure of the quality of the connection can be made by
comparing the Differential mode power to the Common mode power.

Digital Radio Mondial
This is Digital worldwide radio
It offers Digital quality audio on Short and Medium wavebands
It utilises the standard channel spacings of 9/10 KHz
and uses a technique called: ODFM - Orthogonal Digital Frequency Modulation.
Although transmissions are intended for test purposes,
and there are no commercially built receivers available,
it is possible to modify an existing radio with a 12KHz IF
so it can be decoded using a standard PC with a soundcard.
